Artist's Comments
The final of the GLaDOS ball series from Valve's award winning game, Portal. This is the red, angry, ball. I didn't really know what to put in the background text, since all it does is growl at you, and the main text itself is taken not from the ball or even GLaDOS, but from the turrets in the game, it just happened to suit this. Also, I decided to go for an appearence of movement, given the aggressiveness of the Red Ball, so I used motion blur and shots from different angles to achieve that effect.
Anyway, I'm considering doing one of these for the turrets and the Companion Cube. I'll probably do those within the next few days. Comments appreciated  |

 reports, 1d 23h agoThis newsletter was "born" back in March 2007, from a conversation between ~Lareth and =FrozenStarRo, who with the help of their friends *Iardacil and *Sylwiaa , wanted to make something to promote known and unknown photomanipulators alike here on DeviantArt. As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. If I could offer my opinion on the companion cube one, the background text should be filled with all the GLaDOS quotes pertaining to the euthanasia of the companion cube. Not sure about the main quote... It is, after all, your art not mine.
Especially if the background is filled with text relating to euthanaising the companion cube...
